NEW DELHI: Minerva Punjab Football Club are in talks to sell part or half of the club, its combative owner and AIFF bugbear Ranjit Bajaj told Hindustan Times Thursday.

The fate of this season’s I-League may be unknown but should negotiations be successful, the champions of the 2017-18 edition could fetch between Rs 120-180 million, which is close to the annual fee paid by some franchises in the Indian Super League (ISL), HT reports.

NEW DELHI: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has said that it was investigating the claims of match-fixing approaches made to players from the Minerva Punjab Football Club during the ongoing I-League. The club owner Ranjit Bajaj had earlier revealed that several of his players were approached by bookies for match-fixing, a newswire PTI report said.

CHANDIGARH: Two more players have complained to the All-India Football Federation (AIFF) against Minerva Punjab Football Club. N Givson Singh and Vikram Singh have alleged that they were being shown as part of Minerva based on the basis of “forged documents”. AIFF’s player status committee (PSC) has forwarded these complaints to the disciplinary committee.
