NEW DELHI: Mobile gaming contributes more than 90% to the current $1.6 billion gaming market in the country, according to the latest report by the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI).

India is currently home to over 430 million mobile gamers and the number is estimated to grow to 650 million by 2025, according to the study accessed by IANS. 

The pandemic has accelerated the organic growth of digital games as mobile app downloads grew by 50% and user engagement went up by 20%.

MUMBAI: Mobile gaming company Nazara Technologies has made an additional investment in fantasy sports startup Halaplay Technologies Pvt Ltd through an equity swap of stocks from Kae Capital worth Rs 146 million. The fresh funding makes the Mumbai-headquartered firm a majority stakeholder in Bengaluru-based Halaplay.

MUMBAI: Mobile gaming company Nazara Technologies Limited (Nazara) has acquired a stake in CrimzonCode, a development studio to enter into Real Money Quiz vertical.  CrimzonCode owns TopQuiz, a quiz game that allows players to win real money. Nazara also picked up a 27.42% minority stake in the company that runs CrimzonCode.
