Nuwan Zoysa

DUBAI: Former Sri Lanka player and coach Nuwan Zoysa has been banned from all cricket for six years after an ICC Anti-Corruption Tribunal found him guilty of breaching the ICC Anti-Corruption Code (read match fixing).

The ban is backdated to 31 October 2018, when Zoysa was provisionally suspended as an immediate action.

The tribunal found Zoysa guilty of:
Article 2.1.1 – for being party to an agreement or effort to fix or contrive or otherwise influence improperly the result, progress, conduct or other aspect(s) of an International Match.

DUBAI: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has charged Sri Lankan bowling coach Nuwan Zoysa with three counts of breaching the ICC Anti-Corruption Code and been provisionally suspended him.  Zoysa, who played 30 Tests and 95 ODIs for Sri Lanka during 1997-2007, has 14 days from 1 November to respond to the charges.
