BCCI ups honorarium for its honorary officials

Aah to be an office bearer of the all-powerful BCCI! The honorarium these "honorary" officials are now entitled to (not that it was to be sneezed at earlier), coupled with the power that comes with holding top positions in the world's richest cricket body, speaks for itself.

BCCI office bearers will now be paid a daily allowance of $1000 (approx ₹82,000/day) on foreign tours, PTI reports. Besides, they will also get to fly only first class.

CoA seeks removal of BCCI office bearers, IPL chairman
NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) on Thursday sought the removal of BCCI's current set of office bearers, citing the end of their tenures as per the Indian cricket board's constitution. The CoA also asked for apex courts direction on having an AGM without formal adoption of the new constitution as per Lodha Committee recommendation, newswire PTI reports.

The last date for filing nominations is November 29.
