Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018

BUENOS AIRES: The president of the PyeongChang 2018 Organising Committee (POCOG), Lee Hee-beom, has announced that his organisation has achieved a surplus of at least $55 million. This announcement was made during Lee’s final report to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Session in the Argentine capital, which ended Tuesday.

"I was pleased to say that PyeongChang 2018 can already announce a multimillion-dollar surplus," Lee said at the strategic part of the PyeongChang 2018 Debriefing, which was held here on June 4 and 5, reports Xinhua news agency.

LAUSANNE: IOC president Thomas Bach has announced that a delegation from the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) will participate at the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018. Under the “Olympic Korean Peninsula Declaration”, the IOC will grant accreditations to the NOC of the DPRK for 22 athletes in 3 sports and 5 disciplines.

NEW YORK: Intel has announced it will power the largest scale virtual reality event to date with the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 using Intel True VR technology.  Intel, together with the Olympic Broadcast Services (OBS), will capture a record 30 Olympic events, with both live and videoon-demand content available. This marks the first-ever live virtual reality broadcast of the Olympic Winter Games.

PYEONGCHANG, Korea:: Organisers of the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 in February have provided an update on ticket sales. As of Friday, December 21, overall ticket sales for the Olympic Winter Games was 61% - or 655,000. This total includes local and international sales.
