After the I-League, Indian Super League (ISL), AFC Asian Women's Cup India 2022 and Santosh Trophy, the virus has reportedly breached the bio bubble of the ongoing Pro Kabaddi League in Bengaluru.

MUMBAI: The Haryana Steelers, owned by JSW Sports, has unveiled a new logo for the eighth season of the Pro Kabaddi League, which is set to begin on 22 December. The logo, is a dynamically posed Bhima wielding his heavy mace, leaning forward with his arm. The logo aims to capture the action and emotion of an energetic and fierce warrior, be it on the battleground or on the Kabaddi mat.

MUMBAI: The Star India network, which owns a majority stake in Mashal Sports, commercial rights holder of the Pro Kabaddi League, has, as expected, retained the media rights to the PKL for the next five seasons. Mashal Sports announced at the weekend that it had successfully concluded its PKL media rights auction for five Seasons (Season 8 to Season 12) to be held during 2021-2025.

MUMBAI: In the wake of sustained demands from the franchises, sports management company Mashal Sports, founded by Anand Mahindra and Charu Sharma, and now majority owned by Star India, has confirmed it will open the tender process for the media rights of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL).  The rights will be awarded for five years, from Seasons 8 to 12, or until 2025, whichever is earlier.

PKL's eighth season has been postponed to 2021, with the assurance that the league will return "once it's safe to resume".
