T20 Mumbai League calls for franchise bids for 2 new teams

MUMBAI: Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) Thursday announced that two new teams will be added to the T20 Mumbai League which debuted last year, taking the number of teams participating to eight in total.

The second edition of the league, the commercial rights for which are with Probability Sports India (a consortium of Probability Sports and Wizcraft International), will be held from 14th May to 26th May at the city's Wankhede Stadium.

MUMBAI: The player auction for the inaugural edition Mumbai Cricket Association’s T20 Mumbai League conducted here at the weekend saw 119 players being bought by the six franchises who will compete in the 2018 season of the league to be played from March 11-21 at the Wankhede stadium.

Sachin to endorse T20 Mumbai League
MUMBAI: The upcoming T20 Mumbai League has roped in cricketing icon Sachin Tendulkar as its brand ambassador. "It's always a pleasure to be associated with the Mumbai Cricket Association. The T20 Mumbai League will not only entertain cricket fans, but also provide a great platform to the talented young cricketers in Mumbai," Tendulkar said.
