MUMBAI: BCCI CEO Rahul Johri has confirmed that India's tour to South Africa in early 2018 is definitely on. While there is still some "back and forth on the dates", Johri confirmed to PTI that it will be a full tour  and will commence immediately after the visiting Sri Lankan team finishes its tour by the end of December.

NEW DELHI: Those enisted on BCCI's panel of commentators will likely have to sign an undertaking that they don't have any 'conflict of interest' as per the recommendations by the Lodha Panel. Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar, Sanjay Manjrekar, Murali Kartik and Harsha Bhogle, who is returning after a fall out with the BCCI post World T20 in 2016, have reportedly been short listed.

NEW DELHI: National Rifle Association of India (NRAI)  president Raninder Singh has written to the finance ministry asking for a review of imposition of GST on sports equipment. Shooters in the country say they have been hit hard by the Goods and Services Tax, which envisages a 18 to 28 per cent tax on air guns, pistols, and accessories of the sport, most of which needs to be imported.

MUMBAI: Two new venues, both from states where cricket is an "emerging game", could host two of the three Test matches during the home series against Sri Lanka later this year.  Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala and Barsapara in Assam are the two venues that are tipped to host the Tests, the decision on which was to be taken by the BCCI's Tours and Fixtures Committee on Tuesday.

AHMEDABAD: Newly inducted Vivo Pro Kabaddi franchise Gujarat Fortune Giants on Wednesday formally launched the team and unveiled the jersey at an event here in presence of wrestler Geeta Phogat and team's skipper Sukesh Hedge. The franchise, owned by edible oil major Adani Wilmar, is one of four new teams in PKL.

LONDON: After months of negotiations, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has agreed terms on a revised revenue share model from the International Cricket Council that was inked at the ICC's ongoing Annual Conference Week here Thursday. It was agreed during the conference that the BCCI would be getting $405 million, $266 million more than England, which will take home $139 million.
