ROME: The Italian Football Federation (FIGC), passed a ruling Monday that states that Serie A teams who still wish to pursue the European Super League (or any similar entity) on June 21 will lose their league membership. 

Italian giants Juventus, Inter Milan and AC Milan signed up to the controversial breakaway competition earlier this month among 12 elite European clubs.

Juve chairman Andrea Agnelli has been credited with playing a key role in the organisation of the still-born tournament.

TURIN: Juventus Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) Giorgio Ricci opines that playing a regular season game overseas each year will be a ‘good option’ for the Serie A, which has commercially fallen behind the likes of the Premier League, BBC Sport reports. TURIN: Serie A champions Juventus terminated its employment contracts with CEO Giuseppe Marotta (aged 61) and CFO Aldo Mazzia (aged 62) on Wednesday. Marotta has been compensated with 723,550 euros ($827,533) while Mazzia is set to receive 587,000 euros ($671,359).
