SRI LANKA WILL HOST of Asia Cup cricket championship in June next year, Pakistan Cricket Board Chief Executive Wasim Khan has stated.

Pakistan was sceduled to host the Asia Cup this year but the coronavirus pandemic resulted in its postponement.

With Sri Lanka now given the rights to host the Asia Cup in 2021, Pakistan will host the event in 2022, Khan told PTI.

“The next Asia Cup will be hosted in Sri Lanka in June and we have got hosting rights now for the 2022 Asia Cup,” Khan was quoted by the the newswire as having said.

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced Thursday that it has appointed former first-class cricketer Wasim Khan as its new managing director and his tenure is expected to begin from February 2019. The appointment was finalised after a comprehensive two-phase selection process, which saw over 350 candidates expressing their interest following an advertisement for this position.
