STAMFORD, Conn.: WWE and Fanatics Tuesday announced an expansion of their existing comprehensive, long-term sports and entertainment partnership, which will now see Fanatics assume operations of WWE’s global event merchandise business.  The new deal will kick off on May 1 before WWE’s premium live event, Backlash.

SummerSlam marks the first WWE event to be held at Ford Field since WrestleMania in 2007 and the first SummerSlam to take place in the state of Michigan since 1993.

WWE, the world's largest pro-wrestling company, has reportedly been sold to Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund.  Reports of the sale emerged hours after Stephanie McMahon announced her resignation from her roles as chairwoman and co-CEO of the company and her father Vince McMahon returned as chairman of the board. Co-CEO Nick Khan will now serve as WWE CEO.

Conceptualized in-house, Sony Sports Network has rolled out the campaign to "engage viewers and strengthen their connection" with the sports entertainment property.

STAMFORD, Conn.: WWE has released financial results for its third quarter 2022 ended September 30. Per the full report, WWE listed revenue for the quarter as $304.6 million, an increase of 19% over the previous quarter.
