NEW DELHI: Gurugram-based foodtech unicorn Zomato has added its own product line of health and dietary supplements. 

Zomato's founder and CEO Deepinder Goyal announced on Twitter the company's entry into nutrition supplements or 'functional food'. 

The supplements are sold by Zomato's own brands and are made in India. Deepinder said that the 'functional' foods will be soon available on Zomato's app for orders.

Goyal did not specify when exactly these supplements will be available on the platform.

MUMBAI: Foodtech major Zomato, which has been in talks to acquire full-stack sports platform Fitso since September, has reportedly closed the deal for a 100% stake in the Gurugram-based company at a price of Rs 800 million to Rs 1 billion. This is the first acquisition by Zomato it bought out UberEats in January 2020.
