KOLKATA: Former India captain and Board of Control of Cricket in India president Sourav Ganguly underwent an angioplasty at a city hospital on Thursday, his second this month since suffering a mild heart attack on January 2.

Ganguly, who was admitted to Apollo Gleneagles on Wednesday after complaining of "chest discomfort", has been declared to be "stable and under close observation" by the hospital.

Ganguly was diagnosed with three blocked coronary arteries on Saturday, following which a stent was inserted in one to remove the blockage.
