Chennai Super Kings Cricket Limited

Chennai Super Kings Cricket Limited, which has acquired the Johannesburg franchise in the Cricket South Africa T20 League, has named the side Joburg Super Kings and announced the signing of five players ahead of the inaugural edition of the tournament.

The players are: Faf du Plessis (South Africa), Moeen Ali (England), Maheesh Theekshana (Sri Lanka), Romario Shepherd (West Indies) and Gerald Coetzee (South Africa).

CHENNAI: L Sabaretnam, director and chairman of Chennai Super Kings Cricket Limited, and a cement industry veteran, died in Chennai on Sunday following a brief illness, PTI quotes family sources as having said.  Sabaretnam, who is survived by two sons and a daughter, was 80. He served in Chettinad Cement Corporation and was executive director of the company for a long period.
