Batra wins re-election as FIH president after tight vote

LAUSANNE: In the closest of votes, Narinder Batra has been re-elected as president of the FIH for a second four-year term. 

Of the 124 votes submitted by member national associations, Batra attained the required absolute majority of more than half the votes, receiving 63 votes to the 61 given to Marc Coudron of Belgium. Batra will hold the position until 2024.

ECB declares £100m losses in 2020/21 'across game as a whole'
LONDON: The England and Wales Cricket Board has published its Annual Review and Financial Statements for 2020/21. In the review, the ECB has declared revenue losses amounting to more than £100m ($141m), compared to what had been expected to be received in 2020, after a year of matches played behind closed doors. The losses reported are from across the game as a whole – including ECB and First Class Counties.
