NEW DELHI: Prime Volleyball League Season 2 witnessed a 55 percent increase in viewership, the organisers announced Tuesday.

PVL Season 2, which had eight teams competing, was aired on Sony Sports Network in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam in the Indian subcontinent and globally on Volleyball World. 

As per the organisers, the total cumulative viewership across all matches and highlights for PVL Season 2 reached 206 million, as compared to 133 million from season 1.

NEW DELHI: The inaugural season of Prime Volleyball League (Pro Volleyball League rebadged for legal reasons), across the 24 games played, reached 41 million television viewers, who had the choice of English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu or Malayalam commentary. As per the organisers, the tournament, which was telecast in India on the Sony Sports channels, drew 43% of its viewership from females.

Critically, the IVL, which is tentatively scheduled to tip off around June-July, has been sanctioned both by both the Asian Volleyball Confederation and International Volleyball Federation (FIVB).

BENGALURU: Prime Volleyball League (Pro Volleyball League rebadged for legal purposes) franchise Bengaluru Torpedoes on Monday announced EatFit, a food delivery platform housed under cloud kitchen company Curefoods, as the team's principal sponsor for the ongoing season, which tipped off on 5 February at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad. EatFit will appear on the front of Bengaluru Torpedoes' shirt.

NEW DELHI: Prime Volleyball League (Pro Volleyball League rebadged for legal reasons) announced Tuesday that its "inaugural" season would tip off in in Hyderabad on 5th February.  The tournament is scheduled to take place at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, with home team of Hyderabad Black Hawks taking on Kochi Blue Spikers in the opening fixture.

NEW DELHI: The organisers of Prime Volleyball League has decided to shift the upcoming tournament's venue from Kochi to Hyderabad.  The tournament will now be held at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium. The league, which will be held between 05 February to 27 February. As expected, the tournament will be held in a bio-bubble with strict COVID protocols being followed inside the bubble.
