Olympic AI agenda - to lead global implementation within sport

The International Olympic Committee Friday launched the Olympic AI Agenda. The initiative was introduced during an interactive event held at Lee Valley VeloPark at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, home of the Olympic and Paralympic Games London 2012.

The Olympic AI Agenda is the third in a trilogy of strategy documents launched under the leadership of IOC president Thomas Bach. It follows Olympic Agenda 2020, launched in December 2014, and Olympic Agenda 2020+5, launched in March 2021.

IWF prez named India’s Chef de Mission for Tokyo 2020
NEW DELHI: The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) Thursday appointed one of its vice presidents and Indian Weightlifting Federation (IWF) president Birendra Baishya as the Chef de Mission for India’s Tokyo 2020 campaign. "It is for the first time that the sport of weightlifting has been accorded with honour of Chef de Mission for the Olympic Games," IWF secretary Sahdev Yadav said in a statement.

Tokyo 2020 Games budget remains steady at $12.6bn
TOKYO: The organising committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (Tokyo 2020) Friday announced updated budgets for both events alongside the Tokyo metropolitan government and the government of Japan. The total amounts to $12.6 billion (JPY 1.35 trillion).
