MUMBAI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India president Sourav Ganguly will step down from the board of ATK Mohun Bagan FC after RPSG Ventures won the bid for the Lucknow franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for a record Rs 7,090 crores.
Ganguly has reportedly initiated the process of standing down from his role at the Indian Super League football franchise as RPSG is now not only the owner of the as-yet-unnamed Lucknow IPL franchise, but also principal stakeholder in the storied Kolkata football club.
