ad-hoc panel

NEW DELHI, The Indian Olympic Association has formed an ad-hoc panel to run the affairs of taekwondo in the country and conduct the federation's election within six months.

The move follows close on the heels of the IOA finally cracking the whip on an intransigent Indian Golf Union, appointing a four-member governance committee to administer the sport in the country in the lead up to the Olympics in Tokyo next year.

The decision to form the ad-hoc committee to run taekwondo was taken during the general assembly of the IOA in December last year, PTI reports.
