National Dope Testing Laboratory

NEW DELHI: The National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL) on Thursday regained the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) accreditation, which was suspended in 2019 due to its failure to meet global standards. 

The announcement was made by Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur on his official twitter handle. 

"National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL) regains the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) accreditation," Thakur tweeted.

NEW DELHI: India will file an appeal before the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Switzerland against the World Anti-Doping Agency's decision to suspend the accreditation of National Dope Testing Laboratory, Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju said on Friday. Rijiju said it was disheartening that WADA had taken such a decision after the NDTL had begun a "course correction" of issues faced by it "in the past".
