NEW DELHI: The most powerful cricket body in the world has yet again been forced to eat humble pie after falling at the wrong end of the stick on the legal front. Needless to say, it is a seriously expensive pie. 

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is reportedly ready to cough up compensation of over Rs8 billion to IPL franchise Kochi Tuskers Kerala for terminating its contract in 2011, a massive mark-up on the Rs3 billion the team's promoters were initially willing to settle for.

MUMBAI: The 2019 World Cup is likely to see the introduction of ‘away’ kits for the first time. According to a report in The Guardian, teams that have kits of similar colour will have one side wear the away kit. Out of the 10 teams in the tournament, England, India, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan wear blue kits, albeit of different hues. Pakistan, South Africa and Bangladesh have green as their main colour.

ICC extends Sunset+Vine prodn mandate, India events excluded
LONDON: Sunset+Vine, the UK independent TV sports production and media company, has been awarded a new four year host production deal by the ICC covering all live event production services for ICC TV until 2023, excluding the India events in 2021 and 2023.
