IN THE AFTERMATH OF THE suspension of the Indian Premier League, with the BCCI having had time to introspect, board president Sourav Ganguly has admitted that "travelling between cities could have caused the breach in the IPL's biosecure bubble".  

Speaking to Telegraph India, Ganguly also said that the BCCI will look at creating a window for the remainder of IPL 2021 ahead of this year's T20 World Cup, scheduled for October-November.

That is easier considered than delivered though, as former England captain Michael Atherton has pointed out.

DUBAI: In a bid to discover budding talents, Indian Premier League franchise Rajasthan Royals is set to launch its first academy in the UAE -- and second globally -- on October 12. RR is the first IPL franchise to start operation of an academy in the UAE. The academy is being operated in partnership with UAE-based sports consulting firm RedBear Sports.

SRINAGAR: The Doon International School (DIS) Srinagar has established a cricket academy in Kashmir. According to a statement issued by the institution, the cricket academy will be facilitated by international cricket star M S Dhoni. DIS chairman Showkat Hussain Khan stated that the motive behind establishing the cricket academy was to hone the talent of the budding cricketers in the Valley.
