JIOSTAR has announced that the US Open 2025 achieved record viewership in India, with extensive coverage across both linear television and digital platforms. The tournament set a new benchmark for tennis consumption in the country, generating a combined 877 million minutes of watch time.
The 2025 edition opened with the mixed doubles format and was further enhanced through Hindi commentary, broadening its reach among Indian audiences. On linear television, the event delivered 388 million minutes of watch time — the highest ever for the US Open in the BARC era. The figures highlight both the growing popularity of tennis in India.
The tournament’s reach also expanded significantly, with 18 million viewers tuning in — a 96% year-on-year growth. On JioHotstar, the US Open 2025 amassed 489 million minutes of watch time, as Aryna Sabalenka and Carlos Alcaraz captured the singles titles.
