NEW DELHI: A Delhi court is expected to pronounce on April 26 its order on whether to frame charges against former Wrestling Federation of India chief and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh in a sexual harassment case lodged by six female wrestlers against him.

It bears noting that the original complaint of sexual harassment and stalking against the powerful BJP MP was made by a group of seven female wrestlers, which including a minor. However, in July 2023, the then 17-year-old retracted her allegations.

KARACHI: The Indian High Commission in Islamabad has finally issued visas to the nine-member Pakistani contingent for participation in the World Junior Squash Championship to be held in Chennai from July 17 to 29. The World Junior event is scheduled to be held in Chennai from 18th of this month and Pakistan is the defending champions, having won the title in 2016 in Poland.

NEW DELHI: In a relief to Sony Pictures Networks India, the official and exclusive broadcaster of India’s upcoming tour of England, the Delhi High Court on Friday has banned over 300 unlicensed websites and cable operators  to broadcast or stream the series, Press Trust of India reports.

KARACHI: The Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) has sought the world body's intervention after its players were denied visas to compete in the World Junior Squash Championship, which India is hosting next month. The PSF has asked the World Squash Federation to either ensure its players procure Indian visad or else take the event out of India.

DUBAI: Sri Lankan captain Dinesh Chandimal’s appeal against the one-Test ban by match referee Javagal Srinath was rejected by the ICC-appointed judicial commissioner, Michael Beloff.  As a result, Chandimal’s four demerit points will also remain in his disciplinary record, which signifies that another offence would result in him being banned for either 4 Tests or 8 ODIs, whichever comes first.
