Lovlina Boxing Academy MoU with Rashtriya Raksha University

LOVLINA BOXING ACADEMY (LBA), operating under the Olympian Sports Academy Foundation, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Bharat Centre for Olympic Research and Education (BCORE) at Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU). The agreement was formalised during a two-day visit by the LBA delegation to the RRU campus on 27-28 November.

The partnership marks the beginning of a long-term, strategic collaboration aimed at advancing sports research, scientific training, athlete welfare, and modern coaching methodologies. Under the MoU, both institutions will work together on sports science applications, performance analytics, psychological training frameworks, injury-prevention strategies, and enhanced high-performance systems, a media release said.

The LBA delegation included Tokyo Olympic medallist and academy founder, Lovlina Borgohain, senior coach and mentor, Debo Kumar Baruah, managing director, Jyotishma Lahkar, and youth leader and educationist, Dheeraj Narayan Yadav, a key member of the academy’s leadership team.

Through this collaboration, LBA will gain structured access to RRU’s sports science and research facilities, such as biomechanics labs, performance analysis centres, recovery science units, and academic expertise in areas including sports technology, psychology, and physical conditioning. Joint research projects, athlete evaluation protocols, training workshops, and knowledge-exchange initiatives will be developed to build stronger pathways for both emerging and elite athletes associated with LBA.

Borgohain said, “This is a proud and important moment for us at LBA. By joining hands with RRU and BCORE, we are opening new doors for our athletes, doors that lead to scientific training, global benchmarks and structured pathways to success. Many young athletes, especially from small towns like where I come from, dream big but lack access to the right support systems. This partnership will help bridge that gap and bring world-class knowledge and facilities directly to them.”
