MOSCOW GAME HUB, a full-cycle gaming and animation development centre offering end-to-end support from concept creation to international launch, was officially unveiled during Moscow International Game Week.
The complex features a complete production ecosystem, including motion-capture and facial-capture studios for character animation, photogrammetry facilities for 3D asset creation, professional sound recording suites, screening rooms for quality assurance, and a dedicated esports arena for competitive testing and tournaments. It also includes modern coworking spaces, conference halls, and a high-performance data processing centre, ensuring seamless technical capability across the entire development pipeline.
Beyond infrastructure, Moscow Game Hub offers resident studios integrated development support, including expert mentorship, publishing partnerships with global platforms, and consulting services for international market access.
Indian animation and gaming studios are eligible to apply for residency, gaining access to production-grade facilities at significantly reduced costs, approximately three times lower than in the United States, twice lower than in Europe, and 1.5 times lower than in Cyprus. This enables the creation of culturally authentic content for both regional and global audiences.
Residents also benefit from preferential rental and tax structures, government-backed development grants, and opportunities to contribute to international projects. The hub supports portfolio building for European and CIS markets, which together represent an audience of over 280 million gamers. It further facilitates co-development partnerships with studios across Europe, Russia, and the Middle East, while offering training in motion capture, 3D animation, and cross-platform development, providing Indian talent with exposure to global production standards.
The launch event drew participation from game studios and industry associations across China, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Serbia, Argentina, Chile, and several other countries.
Senior representatives from India’s gaming and animation sector including leaders from Whistling Woods International, MIDCCA Maharashtra, and other notable studios attended the unveiling to explore opportunities in animation production, game co-development, and market expansion into CIS and European regions through Moscow’s infrastructure.
Head of the agency leading the project Gulnara Agamova said, “Developing the gaming industry is a key priority for Moscow’s Creative Industries Agency, and India’s animation and development talent is vital for international collaboration. We’re taking a systemic approach: first we created the Video Game Factory accelerator, now we’re opening the Moscow Game Hub for international partnerships. We’ve structured residency programs and training partnerships to help Indian studios transition from service providers to IP creators. The entire game creation cycle from concept to international market release is now concentrated here in Moscow, creating a platform where Indian talent can collaborate with European studios and build portfolios for premium markets.”
