NEW DELHI: Indian Super League team Delhi Dynamos will train and groom young players for the Mission XI Million project floated by the All India Football Federation and the Union Sports ministry.
The partnership will also allow the Dynamos to scout for young talent at the grassroots level and offer opportunities to promising players to be part of the Delhi Dynamos youth set-up. It will also give an opportunity to physical education teachers to work closely with the experienced teachers of the Delhi team, who will mentor and train the teachers in the right coaching methods.
Javier Ceppi, tournament director for FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017, told New Indian Express, "The idea is always to try to extend Mission XI Million to as many relevant stakeholders as possible. Delhi Dynamos is an ideal partner in New Delhi, they are very focused on grassroots and the development of talent in the region."
