31st BMW International Open tees off Thursday

NEW DELHI: The 31st BMW International Open is all set to tee off at the new look Golfclub München Eichenried in Munich, Germany.

The four-day event, which is a part of the European Tour, will get underway from Thursday.

Ace India golfers like SSP Chawrasia, Shiv Kapur and Gaganjeet Bhullar will be seen participating in the tournament and will put forth the Indian challenge. Competing against them will be the likes of defending champion Matt Wallace, who won his third European Tour title last year at the very same venue defeating two-time Major Champion Martin Kaymer by one stroke.

The field will be filled with a host of other stalwarts like the most successful Ryder Cup player of all time Sergio Garcia, who will be joined by Ryder Cup rookie Thorbjørn Olesen.

Jhonattan Vegas will also participate in the BMW International Open for the first time, as he makes his European Tour debut. The event will be aired live for the Indian audience by DSport.
