NEW DELHI: After closely monitoring the situation in the country and in line with the government of India’s notification about the nation-wide lockdown, the All India Football Federation has decided that it is in the best interest of all stakeholders involved in the AIFF Academy Accreditation process to provide applicants with a further 15-day extension to fulfil all required formalities and complete their submissions for AIFF Academy Accreditation 2020-21, after the lockdown is lifted.
Following the extension of nation-wide lockdown announced Tuesday by Prime Minister Narendra Modi till 3 May, clubs and academies now will have until May 18 to complete their submission.
"We understand that these are challenging times and we will continue to follow government advice and work collaboratively to keep the situation under review. We will explore all options available to find ways of completing the accreditation process when the conditions will allow," the AIFF stated.
