2018 FIFA World Cup Russia

MOSCOW: Budweiser, an official sponsor of the 2018 FIFA World Cup™, has hit the back of the net by launching a unique football pitch created from its recycled plastic cups in Sochi, Russia. More than 50,000 cups collected at arenas and at the FIFA Fan Fests after the summer tournament have been used to create a new sports facility, the Budweiser ReCup Arena.   

Over 3.2 million Budweiser Red Light Cups were used during the recent FIFA World Cup™, many of which fans took home as souvenirs.

NEW DELHI: US sports apparel brand, Nike may not be the official sponsors of the FIFA World Cup, yet the company claims it has gained the most from the Indian market as its logo can be visible on the jerseys of Brazil, France, Portugal and England.  Their sales are expected to soar further as all of them have qualified for the Round of 16 and Nike aims to ride on the teams’ global appeal and star players.

MOSCOW: World football's governing body FIFA on Tuesday announced that a new ball will be used for the knockout phase of the ongoing World Cup in Russia. The adidas Telstar Mechta will replace the Telstar 18 used during the group stage of football's biggest tournament, FIFA said on Tuesday.
