NEW DELHI: The All India Tennis Association (AITA) has announced that the country would host up to four ATP Challenger Tour events in early 2023. 

The tennis events will mark the return of the ATP Challenger Tour to India after a two-year gap. The last ATP Challenger event held in India was the 2020 Bengaluru Open.

NEW DELHI: The All India Tennis Association (AITA) on Monday announced as many as seven ITF World Tennis Tour events which are scheduled to be held in the country later this year. These ITF World Tennis Tour events carry a total prize money of $125,000 and will be held in November and December to cap off the 2021 calendar for tennis in India.

NEW DELHI: The All India Tennis Association announced on Monday the resumption of the domestic tennis circuit from 16th November. The tournaments will initially begin in the age categories of U-12, U-14 and U-16 only. The duration of the tournaments would remain restricted to three days, with a maximum draw of 32 allowed.

NEW DELHI: Rohit Rajpal will continue as India's non-playing Davis Cup captain while veteran Leander Paes, too, has retained his place in the six-member squad picked for the tie against Croatia next month.  India are scheduled to travel to Croatia for their next tie on March 6 and 7. MELBOURNE: Seasoned tennis administrator Anil Khanna was on Monday nominated as the honorary life president of the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF). The decision was taken at the federation's board of directors meeting held here. Khanna has also been appointed the chairman of the finance committee as well as the co-chairman of the ATF foundation.

LONDON: The ITF has announced that the Fed Cup by BNP Paribas Asia/Oceania Group I event, due to take place next month at the Dongguan Tennis Centre in Dongguan, China, P.R., will now be played in the National Tennis Centre in Nur-Sultan (formerly Astana), Kazakhstan.  The Asia/Oceania Group I contest has India, China, Indonesia, Korea, Chinese Taipei and Uzbekistan competing.

MUMBAI: Months of effort by the All India Tennis Association (AITA) has paid off! The International Tennis Federation announced late Monday that the Asia-Oceania Davis Cup Group I tie between India and Pakistan, which was scheduled to be contested in Islamabad on November 29-30, will be played at a neutral venue.

NEW DELHI: India’s Davis Cup tie against Pakistan has now been rescheduled to take place in Islamabad on either November 29 and 30, or November 30 and December 1. The two-day Asia/Oceania Group 1 match-up will be subject to another security review before the tie, the All India Tennis Association (AITA) announed on Friday.

NEW DELHI: Amid rising diplomatic tensions with Pakistan, the All India Tennis Association is expected to approach the International Tennis Federation seeking a neutral venue for the upcoming Davis Cup tie against the "enemy nation" which is scheduled to take place in Islamabad on September 14 and 15.
