Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur, when asked about India’s participation in the upcoming edition of the Asia Cup, which Pakistan is scheduled to host, said during a media interaction on Sunday, that the BCCI should first make clear its own position on the vexed imbroglio. 

“Let the Board of Control for Cricket in India take a call on Indian team’s participation in Asia Cup first, then only the Sports Ministry and Union Home Ministry will decide,” Thakur told reporters.

NEW DELHI: The Union government has allocated more than Rs 32 crore (Rs 320m) to the Paralympic Committee of India during the four year period of 2017-18 to 2021-22, Sports Minister Anurag Thakur said in Parliament on Tuesday. NEW DELHI: Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur on Sunday criticised Hockey India for unilaterally declaring it would not field men's and women's teams at next year's Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, saying the national federation is bound to consult with the government before taking any such step.
