THE SACRAMENTO KINGS are set to become the first major sports franchise to offer a bitcoin payment option to all players and staff, team chairman Vivek Ranadivé said on Clubhouse on Monday.

The news was first broken on Twitter by Neil Jacobs, well-known on Clubhouse as a regular moderator for Café Bitcoin, who quoted Ranadivé as having said: "I'm going to announce in the next few days that I'm going to offer everyone in the Kings organization, they can get paid as much of their salary in bitcoin as they want, including the players.”

VANCOUVER, British Columbia: English Premier League side Leicester City FC has announced a new partnership with Ethereum-based sports betting platform FansUnite.  The announcement comes in the wake of news earlier this week that Leicester City, along with 6 other Premiership clubs, has opened a Bitcoin wallet on online trading platform eToro.

LONDON: Global investment platform eToro has launched partnerships with seven Premier League clubs including Tottenham Hotspur in landmark deals that have been paid for using Bitcoin for the first time in the history of sports business.   eToro will partner with Brighton & Hove Albion FC, Cardiff City FC, Crystal Palace FC, Leicester City FC, Newcastle United FC and Southampton FC besides Tottenham.
