NEW DELHI: The most powerful cricket body in the world has yet again been forced to eat humble pie after falling at the wrong end of the stick on the legal front. Needless to say, it is a seriously expensive pie. 

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is reportedly ready to cough up compensation of over Rs8 billion to IPL franchise Kochi Tuskers Kerala for terminating its contract in 2011, a massive mark-up on the Rs3 billion the team's promoters were initially willing to settle for.

MUMBAI: Cricket South Africa (CSA) CEO Thabang Moroe has confirmed that it will be receiving the help of the world’s richest cricket board, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in operating the ‘T20 Cricket League’. The development has come a day after CSA confirmed SABC as its official partner of the tournament.

The winner of the bid will sign a 3-year contract with the BCCI.

The two teams will battle it out across 2 Tests, 5 ODIs & 3 T20Is. Lucknow, the Uttar Pradesh city is all set to make its international debut with a T20I between the teams on 6 November.
