Colombo HC rules in favour of Discovery on DSport

NEW DELHI: Two months after Lex Sportel Vision Pvt Ltd reportedly won a favourable court ruling in Sri Lanka over rights to the DSport mark in its long-running legal dispute with Discovery Communications, the American media conglomerate declared Thursday that the High Court of Colombo had dismissed LSV's "interim application".

NEW DELHI: Discovery branded sports channel DSport will telecast the 42nd edition of the biennial ‘Ryder Cup’, bringing the famed rivalry between golfers of Europe and USA to Indian viewers.  From September 28 to 30, DSport will broadcast live Ryder Cup action from 11:30 am onwards for the first two days. The final day action will be live from 3:30 pm.

Discovery India head Karan Bajaj resigns
MUMBAI: Karan Bajaj, the senior vice-president and GM of Discovery Communications India and South Asia has called it quits nearly two years after joining the organization, Exchange4Media reports. The news agency found access to an email sent by JB Perrette, President and CEO of Discovery Network International to the Indian arm which confirmed the development.
