NEW DELHI: US sports apparel brand, Nike may not be the official sponsors of the FIFA World Cup, yet the company claims it has gained the most from the Indian market as its logo can be visible on the jerseys of Brazil, France, Portugal and England. 

Their sales are expected to soar further as all of them have qualified for the Round of 16 and Nike aims to ride on the teams’ global appeal and star players.

MUMBAI: The FIFA World Cup has taken the country by storm and Indian e-commerce platforms are seeing a growth in sales of team jerseys, footballs and various branded, exclusive gear. Argentina, Germany and Brazil’s merchandise are the most in demand, Press Trust of India reports.

MUMBAI: Indian athlete sportswear and leisurewear maker Alcis Sports has won the South Asia rights to exclusively manufacture and distribute FIFA merchandise related to the the upcoming 2018 World Cup. Alcis Sports managing director Roshan Baid told Economic Times that besides India, his comapny has exclusive rights to sell and distribute FIFA merchandise in Sri Lanka, Nepal and Pakistan.
