Financial Fair Play


LYON: UEFA has confirmed the exclusion of AC Milan from the upcoming UEFA club competitions season for its failure to comply with financial fair play rulesduring the monitoring periods assessed in the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons and covering the reporting periods ending in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.

The statement from UEFA's Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) adjudicatory chamber came after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), before which the Serie A giants had gone in appeal, on Friday ruled in favour of European football's governing body.

ZURICH: UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin said on Sunday that the governing body’s improved Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations have made European football gain profits for the first time ever in 2017 season with $694.67 million (600 million euros). The FFP was introduced in 2011, the same year in which it had suffered record losses of $2.28 billion (1.7 billion euros).
