LONDON: England's Football Association and leagues have urged the government to allow fans to return to stadiums, assuring supporters in an open letter that they can hold matches safely.

“We will continue to urge the Government to allow us to return fans safely to stadiums.”

Due to the new restrictions placed by Prime Minister Boris Johnson, the plans to allow return of crowds of upto 25-30% capacity from October were put on hold.
