HERZOGENAURACH, Germany: PUMA and Formula 1 have signed an agreement which will make the sports company the official supplier at F1 races, granting the brand the right to produce F1 branded apparel, footwear and accessories. 

PUMA will also equip F1 staff at track and create F1 fanwear that targets the sport’s different audiences with lifestyle and motorsport collections. The contract includes exclusive rights to sell F1 fanwear and fanwear of all ten teams around the race circuit starting 2024.

Formula 1 has confirmed adjustments to the F1 Sprint format for the six events that will be staged across the 2023 season, beginning with this weekend’s Azerbaijan Grand Prix. F1 Sprint made its debut back in 2021, with the original format seeing qualifying shifted to Friday and setting the grid for a new 100-kilometre dash on Saturday, which in turn determined the starting order for the main event on Sunday.

LONDON: IMG has secured in-ship and inflight rights to broadcast the next three seasons of the FIA Formula One World Championship on Sport 24 and Sport 24 Extra. In a deal through to 2025, the IMG-owned and operated channels will broadcast over 150 hours of live coverage plus highlights from all race weekends.

It can be said with certainty now. Formula 1 racing, which has been ensconced on the Star Sports network pretty much since cable TV came to India in 1991, will be going it alone in this market for the foreseeable future.  Which means that Indian F1 fans will not have access anymore to the pinnacle of motorsport racing on linear TV. Or any domestic OTT platform.

AMSTERDAM: Dutch beer major Heineken, a global partner of Formula 1, was Friday announced as title partner for next year's Las Vegas Grand Prix. The event will be the first ever Saturday F1 race, taking place at night on a street circuit on 18th November 2023. As a global partner of Formula 1, Heineken has a rich history in amplifying some of the biggest global moments in the sport.
