Hero Caribbean Premier League

THE FIXTURES FOR THE 2022 HERO Caribbean Premier League (CPL) and the inaugural Women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL) have been confirmed. The tournament will visit St Kitts & Nevis, Saint Lucia, Trinidad & Tobago and culminate in the final in Guyana.

The 2022 edition of the CPL is set to kick off with the inaugural match of the WCPL between Trinbago Knight Riders and Barbados Royals on August 31 in St Kitts & Nevis.

THE HERO CARIBBEAN PREMIER League finals will be hosted by Guyana for the next three years, starting in 2022. This is the first time the CPL final will be held in Guyana and this long-term staging agreement will see the culmination of the tournament also taking place in Guyana in 2023 and 2024.

They defeated Saint Lucia Kings by three wickets in a closely contested encounter at Warner Park.

St. KITTS & NEVIS: Ahead of the Hero Caribbean Premier League 2021, Asian online gaming platform Wolf777 has become the official sponsor of the Barbados Royals team. Wolf777 had earlier taken the title sponsor rights of rival CPL franchise Jamaica Tallawahs.

GROS ISLET, ST Lucia: The Hero Caribbean Premier League franchise Saint Lucia Zouks has been rebranded as Saint Lucia Zouks ahead of the CPL 2021 season. The team is owned by KPH Dream Cricket Private Limited, which also runs the Punjab Kings franchise at the Indian Premier League (IPL).

SAINT JOHN'S, Antigua: Pete Russell has been appointed as chief executive officer of the Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL).  Russell has been part of the CPL management team since the tournament’s inception, serving as the chief operating officer.
