adidas adds manika batra to India athletes roster

NEW DELHI: German sportswear major adidas has added India's highest ranked table tennis champion Manika Batra to its growing roster of athletes in the country.

The new partnership focuses on "empowering women to realize their dreams".

The Indian star is the first Indian woman to win Gold in table tennis at a Commonwealth Games, the first Indian player to enter Top 10 in women's doubles tnd Top 15 of mixed doubles at ITTF World rankings, and first Indian woman to enter top-50 of the ITTF Rankings.

IOS adds Manika, Mirabai to athlete roster
NEW DELHI: Commonwealth Gold medal winning table tennis star Manika Batra and weightlifter Mirabai Chanu have signed multi-year representation agreements with sports management firm IOS Sports & Entertainment. IOS will now manage their endorsements, appearances, brand profiling, patents, licensing and digital rights, images, and visibility on social networking sites, the company stated in a media release.
