NEW DELHI: The All India Football Federation has strongly refuted and vowed "appropriate legal action" against Ranjit Bajaj, former owner of Minerva Punjab FC, for what it asserts are "defamatory allegations" made on Tuesday against AIFF general secretary Kushal Das. 

Bajaj on Monday alleged that Das had molested employees at work, a charge vehemently rejected by the national body.

NEW DELHI: Hero I-League defending champions Minerva Punjab will have its petition come up on Friday in the Delhi High Court, which has challenged the All India Football Federation (AIFF) over its refusal to postpone their match against Real Kashmir FC, which was scheduled to take place in Srinagar on Monday, Press Trust of India reports.

NEW DELHI: The upcoming Hero I-League game on 18 February between debutants Real Kashmir FC and defending champions Minerva Punjab is unlikely to be held in Srinagar following terrorist attacks in the Pulwama district that claimed the lives of more than 40 CRPF personnel, Press Trust of India reports.

NEW DELHI: Defending champions of the I-League and the Indian Super League, Minerva Punjab FC and Chennaiyin FC respectively, are all set to make their debut in Asia's premier club competitions in 2019, with the possibility of a face-off later on, Press Trust of India reports. Chennaiyin FC will make their debut in Asia through the 2019 AFC Cup, beginning with the play-off round in March next year.

CHANDIGARH: The Hero I League defending champions, Minerva Punjab FC have obtained the national as well as Asian Football Confederation (AFC) club license which allows them to compete in tournaments across Asia, should they qualify for them. The club owner, Ranjit Bajaj took to his personal Twitter account to announce the development on Saturday.

NEW DELHI: Ranjit Bajaj, the owner of I-League champions Minerva Punjab FC, has been found guilty of making racist remarks against a referee during a junior league match last Saturday and handed a one-year ban, effective immediately and fined Rs 1 million.  The fine must be paid by Bajaj within 10 days from the date of the communication of the penalty, which was decided on Sunday.
