Vikas Krishan to make professional debut on Jan 18 in New York

NEW DELHI: One of India’s upcoming boxers, Vikas Krishan is all set to make his professional debut in the USA on 18 January, taking on American boxer Steven Andrade in New York City, Press Trust of India reports.

The welterweight bout will take place at the Stone Resort Casino and will form the under-card of Olympic silver-medallist Shakur Stevenson's IBF Intercontinental and WBC Continental Americas featherweight title contest against Jessie Cris Rosales in a 10-rounder, an official associated with Krishan told PTI.

Madison Square Garden looks to spin off sports division
NEW YORK: The Madison Square Garden (MSG), one of the city’s iconic venues, announced on Wednesday that its company’s board of directors have unanimously okayed a plan that would help create a separately-traded public company comprising of several of its professional sports franchises such as NBA’s New York Knicks and NHL’s New York Rangers.
