MANCHESTER: The owner of Manchester United, a key player in the failed European Super League project, has set out a vision for a "new era of dialogue and consultation with fans", including the creation of a fan advisory board and a fan share scheme.

Manchester United executive co-chairman Joe Glazer met with the club’s fans’ forum on Friday to begin discussions.

In the meeting, Glazer discussed his vision for the club in opening remarks to fan representatives, along with his intentions for investment in Old Trafford and the training ground.

After Manchester United's 2-0 derby victory over Manchester City at Old Trafford in March, fans were barred from attending matches as per post-pandemic protocols.

LONDON: Old Trafford, also known as the ‘Theatre of Dreams’ and the home ground of Premier League’s Manchester United, has been selected to host the men’s and women’s Rugby League World Cup (RLWC) 2021 finals. It will mark the first instance of the ground hosting non-football matches.
