MUMBAI: "You don't visit me, I don't visit you." That appears to be the compromise formula that is being worked out between the all powerful Board of Control for Cricket in India and the Pakistan Cricket Board. The imbroglio arose after the BCCI refused to play ball on the matter of the India team visiting Pakistan for the Asia Cup 2023, which the PCB is hosting.

As per reports coming out of both countries, it has been proposed to hold India's Asia Cup matches and Pakistan's World Cup (which BCCI is hosting) matches  at neutral venues.

NEW DELHI: The Asian Cricket Council meeting, taking place in Kuala Lumpur Monday and Tuesday, sees the Pakistan Cricket Board ranged against the BCCI on the matter of the hosting the Asian Emerging Nations Cup, which was awarded to the PCB last year. The BCCI, supported by its counterparts in Bangladesh, has pitched for moving the Asian Emerging Nations Cup out of Pakistan, citing security concerns.

HARARE: Zimbabwe Cricket Union has approached the International Cricket Council for a loan to bail the board out of a financial crisis, which has also put the Pakistan team's tour to that country in serious doubt. PCB chairman Najam Sethi told the Dawn newspaper that the tour was still on as Zimbabwe Cricket Union had approached the ICC for a loan.

MUMBAI: The formation of a disputes resolution committee (DRC) to resolve the issue of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) seeking $70 million as compensation from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has begun. Annabel Pennefather, an independent lawyer in the ICC DRC, has been nominated by BCCI as its representative, according to a report in The Hindu.

MUMBAI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has taken objection to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)'s decision not to include any bilateral matches with Pakistan in its proposed FTP (Future Tours Programme) for 2019-2023. The PCB has approached the International Cricket Council (ICC) and initiated a Dispute Resolution Process against the BCCI for not honouring its commitment of playing Pakistan.

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Cricket Board and its West Indies counterparts have signed an agreement that guarantees a Twenty20 series each year in Pakistan and the United States for the next five years. The rider being that all tours to the strife torn nation are subject to the security situation staying the same as when Pakistan hosted a World XI in September for three T20s, and Sri Lanka on October 29 in a T20.

MUMBAI: Discovery Communications branded sports channel DSport will broadcast the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2018. According to an official statement, DSport will air the 34 matches of the third edition of the T20 competition in Pakistan scheduled to begin on 23 February 2018. PSL will see participation from six teams including debutant Multan Sultans.

MUMBAI: The Pakistan Cricket Board may have an agreement in principal with their counterparts in Sri Lanka for a team from the Emerald Isles to play a Twenty20 International in Lahore towards the tail-end of the current series, but some of the players are not reportedly ‘ready for the tour’.
