NEW DELHI: Ahead of the formal hearing of Pakistan Cricket Board's appeal before the ICC's Dispute Resolution Committee, the BCCI has requested the Union government to formally convey its position with regards to Indo-Pak bilateral cricket series, which is on hold since 2012 due to political tension between the two neighbours.

MUMBAI: Since the 2009 terrorist attacks in Lahore, Pakistan have been forced to adopt the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as their ‘home’ venue. To protect its commercial interests connected to the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and other bilateral series, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) wants the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) to not host any other league during the October-March corridor.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Najam Sethi has said the third edition of Pakistan Super League delivered a profit of over $5 million for the PCB. “This time round [in third edition], we are expecting over $5 million as profit,” Sethi told reporters here Monday, adding that for the next PSL edition, other venues such as Pindi Cricket Stadium, are also being considered for holding some matches.

NEW DELHI: The ICC has constituted a three-member dispute resolution committee to look into Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) $70 million compensation claim against the BCCI for not honouring the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which required the two countries to play five bilateral series in an eight-year cycle between 2015-2023.

MUMBAI: The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) on Tuesday shifted the 2018 Asia Cup from India to the United Arab Emirates as the BCCI could not secure permission from the Union government to host Pakistan. The decision was taken following a meeting of the executive board of the Asian Cricket Council held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

NEW DELHI: The Asian Cricket Council meeting, taking place in Kuala Lumpur Monday and Tuesday, sees the Pakistan Cricket Board ranged against the BCCI on the matter of the hosting the Asian Emerging Nations Cup, which was awarded to the PCB last year. The BCCI, supported by its counterparts in Bangladesh, has pitched for moving the Asian Emerging Nations Cup out of Pakistan, citing security concerns.

MUMBAI: The formation of a disputes resolution committee (DRC) to resolve the issue of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) seeking $70 million as compensation from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has begun. Annabel Pennefather, an independent lawyer in the ICC DRC, has been nominated by BCCI as its representative, according to a report in The Hindu.
