MUMBAI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), which will  host the World XI side in Lahore in mid-September for three T20 exhibition matches, will be spending big to ensure its success. The PCB, which will spend an estimated $3 million on the series, says it is not looking at making any profits from it but is viewing it as a step towards the revival of international cricket in the country.

MUMBAI: As a first step towards resumption of international cricket in the country, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has engaged a security company for a three-year period. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Najam Sethi told a representative of the Federation of International Cricketers (FICA) will accompany the security company to personally monitor the security situation in Lahore,” he added.

MUMBAI: The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has moved the Under-19 Asia Cup out of India to Malaysia, with Kuala Lumpur replacing Bengaluru as host city for the tournament, which is to be held in November.   The decision was taken at the annual general meeting of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) held in Colombo on Saturday.

LAHORE: Najam Sethi, the main force behind Pakistan's successful staging of its own Twenty20 league, has been elected unopposed for a second stint as chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The election process of the Pakistan Super League chief was carried out at a meeting of the PCB board of governors here Wednesday.

NEW DELHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is setting up a reserve fund of around PKR1 billion (Rs610 million) to take care of the legal costs of filing a compensation claim against the Indian board before the ICC disputes resolution committee. PCB chairman, Shaharyar Khan said in an interview on Saturday that the board of governor's meeting on Friday had given approval for the budget to cover the legal costs.

WHEN the Pakistan Cricket Board cracked down on its top players - banning them, putting them on probation and levying fines - it was quite clear that something was not quite right in Panickistan. Many reckoned that these stiff penalties were actually brushing elephants and camels under the carpet. That the whole exercise was nothing but a massive cover up.
