MUMBAI: Star India has refuted a media report that its digital arm, Novi Digital Entertainment Private Limited, which operates Hotstar, has elevated Varun Narang, head of the product and technology division at India's leading video streaming platform, to replace Ajit Mohan as the company’s CEO.
For the record, Narang joined Hotstar from US online video service Hulu in 2015 and is its designated chief product officer.
Mohan, who was instrumental in the success of building the Hotstar brand, joined Facebook India as managing director in January.
