3 PVL teams initiate legal action against VFI

NEW DELHI: Acting against what they claim is the unilateral termination of the Pro Volleyball League, three of the six franchises in the PVL have sent a legal notice to the Volleyball Federation of India. 

They have alleged that the termination of the league came as a shock, especially as after a meeting between FIVB, VFI commercial rights holder Baseline, and the franchises, the start of the second season on the league had been finalized.

NEW DELHI: RuPay, the flagship product of National Payments Corporation of India, has acquired the title sponsorship rights of India’s newest franchise-based sports league, the Pro Volleyball League, that is set to start on 2nd February.

PVL announces schedule for inaugural edition
CHENNAI: The Pro Volleyball League Thursday announced the match schedule along with launching the ticket sales in a ceremony held on the sidelines of the finals of 67th National Championships here.  The league, an initiative of Baseline Ventures and Volleyball Federation Of India, is set to begin on 2nd February with Kochi Blue Spikers taking on U Mumba Volley in the first match of the league.

PVL firms up launch date, host venues
MUMBAI: The long in the pipeline Pro Volleyball League (PVL) finally has a launch date and hosting venues. PVL will tip off on February 2, 2019 and will be played in Kochi and Chennai, with the latter hosting the final, league CEO Joy Bhattacharjya told Sportstar.
