Close on the heels of announcing that he will step down as India’s T20I captain after the conclusion of the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2021, India's biggest sporting superstar called time Sunday on the captaincy of Royal Challengers Bangalore.  

His Indian Premier league franchise announced Sunday that Virat had decided to step down from his role as captain after the completion of VIVO IPL 2021, but would continue to be part of the RCB squad.
